La Tagliatella is expanding its presence in Málaga with the opening of a new restaurant at number 7 Calle Calderería, right in the city’s historic centre. The addition brings the chain’s total to five establishments in the province, four of them in the provincial capital and one in Fuengirola.

The new premises are located on one of the busiest streets in Málaga’s historic quarter. According to the company, it is an area known for its multicultural atmosphere, retail and food offerings, and appeal to both residents and visitors.

The opening forms part of La Tagliatella’s expansion strategy in Spain and strengthens the brand’s presence in one of Andalusia’s main tourist and commercial cities.

A restaurant covering nearly 500 square metres

The establishment has an approximate surface area of 500 square metres, divided between two dining areas and a terrace. In total, it can accommodate 236 diners: 200 seats indoors and a further 36 outdoors.

The décor aims to recreate the atmosphere of Italian squares, an ambience that the chain incorporates into its restaurants to complement its gastronomic offering. The new premises in Málaga’s historic centre have been designed as a space where customers can enjoy the menu both indoors and on the terrace.

More than 300 pasta and sauce combinations

The food offering includes more than 300 combinations of pasta and sauces, as well as a selection of pizzas, risottos and other Italian specialities. The menu is rounded off with a range of desserts.

The ingredients used by the chain include Italian products with protected designations of origin and quality certifications. These include, among others, Mortadella di Bologna IGP, Parmigiano Reggiano and Gorgonzola DOP.

These products are used in recipes such as the ‘Tartufo e Funghi’ and ‘Noci e Gorgonzola’ sauces, which are among the dishes included in La Tagliatella’s offering.

With this opening, the brand continues to develop a new phase of its expansion plan in Spain and consolidates its activity in the organised restaurant sector specialising in Italian cuisine.

    Five restaurants in Málaga province

The new establishment on Calle Calderería joins the other three restaurants La Tagliatella already has in Málaga city and the premises located in Fuengirola. Overall, the chain now has five restaurants in Málaga province.

The expansion in the province is based on the selection of locations with commercial, food and tourism activity. In this case, the restaurant is situated in the historic centre, an area with both residents and visitors and a wide range of leisure and dining options.

La Tagliatella is part of the AmRest group, a European multi-brand restaurant operator with franchised brands such as KFC, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and Burger King, as well as its own brands including La Tagliatella, Sushi Shop, Blue Frog and Bacoa. The group operates more than 2,100 restaurants in 22 countries, according to information provided by the company.

The chain describes itself as Spain’s largest restaurant company specialising in high-quality Italian cuisine. Its offering is based on Italian dishes prepared with top-quality ingredients and products with Protected Designations of Origin.

The opening of the restaurant on Calle Calderería therefore marks a further step in La Tagliatella’s expansion in Málaga, where the brand now has a network of five establishments in the province.
