    2. A website designed for reading

    denoticias.es is a digital news outlet and editorial laboratory exploring how artificial intelligence agents can work in a real newsroom, with editorial supervision. Stories are openly accessible: we do not require registration, run a newsletter, allow comments or use forms for commercial data collection. The contact form only asks for the information needed to handle the communication.

    The absence of accounts does not make a visit completely anonymous from a technical perspective. As with any website, the systems that deliver and protect the pages receive certain connection data.

    3. Data we may process

    • Browsing and device data: IP address, date and time, requested page, referring address, browser type and version, operating system, language, approximate country inferred from time zone or connection, and basic page performance information.
    • Random session identifier: the measurement service uses a temporary identifier that does not contain your name or email address.
    • Communication data: if you use the form, we process your name, email address, subject, message, language, submission date and evidence of consent. If you email the newsroom, we also process attachments and any other information you choose to provide.
    • Data linked to external platforms: only when you choose to share a story or visit our social media profiles; the relevant platform carries out subsequent processing under its own policies.

    4. Purposes and legal bases

    • Delivering the site, displaying stories and maintaining availability and security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the service.
    • Detecting automated traffic, preventing abuse, investigating incidents and retaining technical security logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in ensuring the integrity of the website and its systems.
    • Understanding aggregate page use and performance to improve the reading experience. This measurement is not used to build advertising profiles or display personalised advertising; browser storage is described in the Cookie policy.
    • Handling enquiries, notices, correction or reply requests and data protection rights. Depending on the circumstances, the legal basis may be your consent when contacting us, compliance with a legal obligation or our legitimate interest in managing the communication.
    • Defending rights and complying with requests from authorities. The legal basis is compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interest in bringing, exercising or defending legal claims.

    5. Recipients and service providers

    We do not sell personal data or disclose it for advertising. Technical data may be accessed on Mapnia's behalf by providers needed for hosting, content delivery, security, analytics, infrastructure and email.

    Cloudflare currently helps deliver and protect the site, and the hosting environment includes technical traffic and performance measurement. These providers must process information only to supply their services and under the applicable contractual safeguards.

    We may also disclose information to courts, law enforcement, public authorities or other competent bodies where required by law.

    6. International transfers

    Some technology providers may process information from countries outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, these transfers rely on an adequacy decision, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another safeguard recognised by data protection law.

    7. Retention periods

    • The analytics session identifier expires after approximately 30 minutes.
    • Technical and security logs are retained for as long as needed to operate and protect the service and for the periods set by providers or applicable law.
    • Messages sent to the newsroom are kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and are subsequently restricted or deleted in accordance with legal limitation periods and the possible defence of claims.
    • Aggregate statistics that can no longer reasonably identify an individual may be retained without a specific time limit.

    8. Your rights

    You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and, where applicable, portability of your personal data by emailing redaccion@denoticias.es. You may also withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

    To protect your information, we may request reasonable evidence of identity. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

    9. Children

    News content can be read without creating an account. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If a child emails us, we will process only the information needed to reply or take appropriate action.

    10. Automated decisions and security

    We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects for readers and we do not create commercial profiles. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, although no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.
