KEBAH! The Kebab Lab & Street Food has accelerated its expansion in Spain with the opening of three new establishments almost simultaneously. The kebab specialist chain has opened outlets in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, in a move aimed at consolidating its organised restaurant model and advancing its goal of transforming the category within the Spanish market.

The new openings are located at 82 Calle Hortaleza, in Madrid; at La Maquinista Shopping Centre, in Barcelona; and at El Saler Shopping Centre, in Valencia. The company considers the opening of three establishments in different cities over such a short period to be a milestone in its development, enabling it to test the concept in different environments and among diverse consumer profiles.

With this operation, KEBAH! brings the number of open and operating outlets in Spain to seven in approximately one year. The three new establishments join those already operating at Clara del Rey 81, Narváez 5, Bernabéu Market and Fuensanta Shopping Centre, in Móstoles, all of them in Madrid. In addition, the brand says it has a further five openings planned before the end of the year.

    A model designed to grow

KEBAH!’s expansion is not based solely on increasing the number of restaurants. The company says it has developed an operating model designed to be replicated in different locations without compromising its product and service standards. Within this system, food safety plays a central role and forms part of the operational processes and day-to-day management of the establishments.

The company integrates different elements of its offering into a single model: the product, operations, customer experience, choice of locations and food safety controls. The aim is for the concept to grow nationwide while retaining its main characteristics.

The arrival in Hortaleza strengthens the brand’s presence in Madrid, while the openings at La Maquinista and El Saler extend its presence to Barcelona and Valencia. The strategy combines urban outlets located in high-traffic areas with establishments in major shopping centres, two formats that allow the chain to reach consumers at different times and with different consumption habits.

KEBAH! identifies an opportunity in the evolution of the restaurant market: interest in informal, affordable and fast offerings that also pay attention to product quality, experience and brand identity. Its approach aims to place kebab within the standards of modern organised restaurants.

An offering based on kebab and street food

The company’s stated aim is to revolutionise the perception and consumption of kebab in Spain and compete with other organised restaurant and street food concepts. To this end, it has built a specialist offering combining different types of meat, breads, ingredients and sauces prepared by the brand itself.

The offering includes chicken thighs and selected cuts of beef, as well as traditional pita bread and Lebanese pita bread. The menu is completed by a variety of natural ingredients and homemade sauces prepared in its own kitchen.

According to the company, this combination seeks to offer a balanced and flavoursome alternative adapted to new consumption trends. The brand summarises its approach with one idea: “this Kebab does you good”.

Beyond the recipe, KEBAH! wants to raise the profile of the category through an experience bringing together product, brand, processes and service. The company believes that kebab has a broad presence among consumers, but that there is still scope to develop a specialist offering within organised restaurants.

Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia as the first phase of expansion

The opening of the three outlets allows KEBAH! to move beyond a single local market. Madrid remains the chain’s main area of presence, although Barcelona and Valencia are now joining its network of establishments, with sites in two shopping centres of importance to the brand: La Maquinista and El Saler.

The company links this expansion to the geographical versatility of its model. Combining a restaurant in an urban area such as Hortaleza with two locations in shopping centres serves to bring the concept to different contexts while maintaining the same product and service offering.

The forecast of five new openings before the end of the year points to a second phase of growth in Spain. KEBAH! has also announced that it will shortly provide information about new establishments in the markets where it is already present and in Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.

The brand, which belongs to Grupo 5 Xtars Service Group, was created and is chaired by Manuel Robledo. Its first shop opened on Calle Clara del Rey in Madrid approximately one year ago. Since then, the company has developed a modern image and an offering adapted to Western tastes, with the intention of raising the profile of kebab within Spain’s street food scene.

KEBAH!’s strategy to consolidate its growth

For the company, the challenge is not merely to add restaurants, but to demonstrate that kebab can become a significant category within organised restaurants. Simultaneous growth in three cities is intended to serve as proof of the model’s ability to establish itself in different markets while maintaining a common operation.

Manuel Robledo, president and founder of KEBAH!, says the three openings demonstrate that the brand is “a business model designed to grow”. In his view, operational agility, the replicability of processes and food safety controls are essential elements for progressing without altering what defines the offering.

The company is therefore basing its expansion plans on two pillars: on the one hand, an offering focused on kebab and street food; on the other, an operating structure intended to guarantee a consistent experience at every establishment. The ultimate aim is for consumers to find the same brand identity both in an urban outlet and in a restaurant located in a shopping centre.

With seven establishments already operating, five openings planned before the end of the year and new locations announced for the coming months, KEBAH! is entering a phase of accelerated growth. The chain aims to take advantage of the potential it attributes to kebab in Spain and turn its offering into an established alternative within the organised restaurant market.

The company says it will continue announcing new openings in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Tenerife. Its expansion marks the beginning of a nationwide strategy aimed at making kebab a regular choice for a broad audience and consolidating its position within the specialist restaurant segment.
