LEVEL will strengthen the air connection between Barcelona and Lima by adding a fourth weekly frequency from 15 March 2027. The IAG group's long-haul airline will add a new Monday flight, in addition to the current services on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
With this expansion, the route between Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Lima will have four weekly flights during part of the 2027 summer season. The new frequency will be available until the end of September, according to the company.
The measure aims to offer greater flexibility to people travelling between the two cities and respond to the reception the route has received since the start of its operations. LEVEL launched this connection on 3 June last year and currently operates it with three weekly frequencies.
Four days of operation between Barcelona and Lima
From 15 March 2027, LEVEL's direct flights between Barcelona and Lima will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The company says that the schedules are designed to facilitate connections with other destinations in Europe and America.
The addition of the Monday service expands the options available for arranging a return journey between the two cities. In addition, the extra frequency will provide more alternatives during the summer season, when the route will operate on four days each week until the end of September.
Tickets for this new frequency are already available through LEVEL's website and usual travel agencies.
Carla Ormeño, LEVEL's Head of Network, explained that the expansion responds to the reception the connection has received since its launch. “The addition of a fourth weekly frequency to Lima reflects the excellent reception this route has received since its launch and allows us to offer our customers greater flexibility when planning their trips,” she said.
The company's executive added that this expansion also reinforces LEVEL's commitment to connecting Barcelona with America through an offering of direct flights adapted to passengers' needs.
A direct route with customisation options
On this connection, LEVEL continues with its flexible, personalised and digital travel proposition, based on the Fly Your Way concept. The airline allows each person to configure their travel experience according to their preferences and choose the services they wish to purchase.
The flights are operated with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which have Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Passengers can therefore choose between the two available classes depending on the type of experience they are looking for on their journey between Barcelona and Lima.
The Premium Economy cabin includes greater seat pitch, footrests and greater recline. This experience also includes an onboard menu service, Amenity Kit, access to dedicated check-in desks and priority boarding.
Through the my.flylevel.com platform, customers can customise different aspects of the flight. The available options include choosing the menu, as well as the possibility of adding snacks and other comfort items.
Individual entertainment during the flight
The onboard experience is completed by an individual entertainment system. This service provides access to more than 400 pieces of content, including films, series, music, documentaries, podcasts, children's programming and wellness content.
The catalogue is renewed quarterly, according to information provided by LEVEL. The offering is available as part of the airline's long-haul experience and complements the customisation options associated with its Economy and Premium Economy cabins.
LEVEL's commitment to Barcelona and Latin America
LEVEL is the IAG group's long-haul airline, which also includes Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Iberia Express and Vueling. The company is based in Barcelona and operates all its direct flights to the United States and Latin America from the Catalan capital.
The airline began flying in June 2017 and has established itself as the first long-haul operator at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Its offering combines direct connections from Barcelona with a proposition in which passengers can select the cabin and services they wish to purchase.
The expansion of the Lima route forms part of this commitment to strengthening connections between Barcelona and America. With the new Monday frequency, the connection will operate on four days each week during the period announced by the company.
The route will also retain its Wednesday, Friday and Sunday flights, which are the days on which it currently operates. Thus, the schedule planned for the period of increased service will be spread across four days of the week.
The new frequency will begin on 15 March 2027 and continue until the end of September of the same year. Interested travellers can already check and purchase tickets through LEVEL's usual sales channels.
