Grupo Ibersol ended July with occupancy of close to 95% across all its establishments and expects to reach 98% in August, coinciding with the period of greatest tourist influx of the summer. The Spanish hotel chain is therefore facing the 2026 summer season with positive forecasts and favourable trends in both demand and average rates.
The group currently has eight hotels and two apartments. According to its forecasts, average occupancy across all its establishments could reach 98% this summer. According to the company, these figures reflect the strength of tourist demand and consolidate the growth recorded in recent seasons.
Rising occupancy during the summer
The evolution of bookings has been upward as the season has progressed. Grupo Ibersol began June with 90% occupancy across all its establishments. In July, the figure was close to 95%, while for August the chain expects to record levels approaching 98%.
This performance coincides with the period of greatest tourist influx and points to high demand for the final part of the summer. The company says that the strong pace of bookings is occurring particularly for dates close to the stay, a trend it considers increasingly common among travellers.
The increase in occupancy has also been accompanied by a positive evolution in average rates. At some Grupo Ibersol establishments, ADR — the average daily rate — has increased by up to 13% year on year compared with the same period last year. For the chain, this trend reflects the strong performance of the hotel business during the summer season.
Claudio Javier, general manager of Grupo Ibersol, says that the forecasts for this summer are “very positive” and reflect travellers’ confidence in its establishments and destinations. The executive also highlights the presence of solid demand and greater holiday planning, two factors that enable the group to face the remainder of the season with optimism.
Almuñécar and Sorra d’Or among the establishments with the strongest demand
The accommodation that recorded the best results during July included the establishment in Almuñécar and the Hotel Ibersol Sorra d’Or, located in Malgrat de Mar.
The establishment in Almuñécar reached 98% occupancy in July and expects to be fully booked in August. Meanwhile, Hotel Ibersol Sorra d’Or ended the month with 97% occupancy.
These figures place both establishments among those that attracted the greatest demand within the group at the start of the summer. The company also believes that their results demonstrate the positive outlook for the final part of the season, supported by travellers’ interest in national coastal destinations.
Domestic tourism maintains its importance
Grupo Ibersol’s figures also form part of a trend that the chain considers consolidated: the rise of domestic tourism and the preference for coastal destinations within Spain. In this context, both the Andalusian coastline and the Catalan coast continue to be popular choices for summer holidays.
Almuñécar, on Granada’s Costa Tropical, combines beaches, heritage, gastronomy and climate. Malgrat de Mar, on the Maresme coast, offers a proposition geared towards sun-and-beach tourism, together with a wide range of leisure activities and services. Although they are different destinations, both share the attraction of offering alternatives for enjoying the summer without leaving Spain.
The evolution of demand in these locations adds to the good results recorded across the chain. The pace of bookings and forecasts for August point to continued activity over the coming weeks, at a key time for the hotel sector and holiday destinations.
Close-in bookings and adaptation by the establishments
Grupo Ibersol explains that the season is marked by a strong pace of bookings, particularly for dates close to the time of the stay. This behaviour requires a high degree of adaptability from the establishments, which must respond to changes in demand during the busiest months.
The chain says that its teams continue to work to offer guests the best possible experience during the summer. Managing occupancy, the evolution of rates and responding to travellers’ needs are some of the elements accompanying the development of the season.
The good performance of bookings is complemented by the role of regular customers and domestic tourism. Customer loyalty remains one of the factors relevant to the results forecast by the group, which continues to focus on strengthening its relationship with guests who choose its establishments repeatedly.
Ibersol You, the group’s loyalty programme
In this area, Grupo Ibersol has Ibersol You, its loyalty programme. The initiative offers exclusive advantages, discounts and other benefits designed to reward the trust of the chain’s regular customers.
The programme forms part of the group’s strategy to maintain its relationship with guests and encourage repeat stays. Loyalty, together with the positive performance of domestic tourism, is contributing to the company’s favourable outlook for summer 2026.
With occupancy close to 95% in July and a forecast of 98% for August, Grupo Ibersol is approaching the final part of the summer season with confidence. The chain is also maintaining a positive trend in its average rates and highlights the performance of establishments such as the one in Almuñécar and Hotel Ibersol Sorra d’Or, two of the accommodation providers with the strongest demand during July.
