El Corte Inglés has launched its new Back to School campaign, combining commercial benefits and services designed to make it easier for families to prepare for the new school year. The campaign is inspired by the small gestures of affection that accompany the return to the classroom, from the support of mothers and fathers to the warmth of teachers and classmates.

The advertising campaign features an adapted version of the song “All you need is love”, one of the best-known compositions in music history. The advert premiered on television on the night of 19 August and was filmed at various schools and locations in the Community of Madrid. The El Corte Inglés teams and the Roma production company took part in creating and producing the advert.

10% bonus across several school categories

Among the campaign’s main benefits is a 10% bonus on the value of purchases of stationery and textbooks, school uniforms, children’s footwear and rucksacks.

These bonuses can be redeemed until 11 October, provided purchases of more than €30 are made in departments including stationery, rucksacks, electronics, electrical appliances, sports, fashion, accessories, footwear, beauty, homeware and toys. They can also be used on food purchases, in this case for purchases of more than €60.

El Corte Inglés reminds customers that the promotion is subject to terms and exceptions, which can be consulted in its shops, on its website or in the company’s app.

In addition, Viajes El Corte Inglés has launched an initiative linked to the campaign. Customers who spend more than €30 in the categories included in the Back to School campaign can enter a draw to win a trip to Disney, in accordance with the relevant promotion’s terms.

Appointments for uniforms and free alterations

To avoid queues and make buying school uniforms easier, El Corte Inglés offers an appointment service for selecting garments. This option is available both on the website and in the app.

The company also offers free alterations for uniform garments. This allows families to buy the clothing and use an adjustment service as part of preparing their school kit.

Another service available is the Back to School Advance Line, which allows customers to pay for school purchases interest-free. This proposal adds to the various alternatives put forward by the company to help organise spending associated with the start of the school year.

    Book covering from €1.50

El Corte Inglés also offers the option of arranging textbook covering when making a reservation. The service allows customers to collect the books already covered and ready to be placed in the rucksack.

The service costs €1.50, while covering between six and 15 books costs €7.95. This is an option introduced by the company to reduce the time families have to spend on one of the tasks traditionally associated with returning to school.

Large families also receive an additional 10% discount on children’s fashion and school uniforms. To access this benefit, customers must register with El Corte Inglés Customer Services and present the El Corte Inglés Card together with the Large Family Card.

    In-store collection, same-day delivery and Click&Car service

The campaign also expands shopping and collection options. The Shopping List service allows customers to select the items they need from different departments and then collect and pay for them at a single counter. The aim is to prevent customers from having to move around the shop with bags while completing their school equipment.

El Corte Inglés has also strengthened its Same-Day Delivery service, with the option of receiving the purchase within two hours or at a time chosen by the customer. This option is complemented by free in-store collection, allowing customers to shop online and collect their order at the most convenient branch.

The Click&Car service is also being promoted. With this option, customers place their order online and collect it free of charge from the car park of their chosen branch. The same order can include products from different categories, including food.

    Children’s fashion and school clothing

The children’s fashion range includes long and short trousers, skirts, jumpers, white polo shirts, socks, smocks, shoes, tracksuits, raincoats and sports footwear, among other products.

The proposals communicated by the company include Pepe Jeans sweatshirts from €49.90 and jeans from the same brand from €44.90. The exclusive children’s brand Kids El Corte Inglés offers sweatshirts and trousers at €12.99, coats at €29.99 and denim garments from €22.99.

Meanwhile, Cotton Juice is adding pyjamas from €17.99 to the campaign. The commercial offering is completed by garments intended for everyday wear, sports activities and school equipment.

    Stationery, rucksacks and school supplies

The stationery department brings together writing implements, school supplies, rucksacks, notebooks, pencil cases and paints. During the campaign, 3-for-2 promotions are available on various writing and desk-supply brands, as well as a second item with a 50% discount on several stationery accessory brands.

Featured products include Munich school rucksacks at €24.95; Sweet ATope ring binders at €14.95; and school diaries from €6. El Corte Inglés is also announcing discounts on Frost, its stationery and rucksack brand.

    Sports and school footwear

In sports, the campaign includes a selection of children’s clothing and footwear from brands such as Adidas, Puma, Under Armour and Reebok. Within the Boomerang brand, tracksuits are available for €29.99, Boomerang Klado 5 trainers from €15.99 and rucksacks from €24.99.

The offering also includes Puma sweatshirts for €34.99 and a 30% discount on Under Armour tracksuits.

In school footwear, the range includes Pablosky loafers from €54, Gorila models from €64.95 and Zgirls shoes at €59.90. For younger children, Biomecanics baby shoes are available from €49.95.

The selection is completed by Kids El Corte Inglés Mary Jane shoes from €45.99 and leather boat shoes from the same brand at €49.99.

With this campaign, El Corte Inglés structures its Back to School offering around the purchase of clothing, footwear, stationery and school supplies, alongside services aimed at simplifying preparations for the school year and reducing waiting times for families.
