Cuatro ends July with its best daytime figures in eight years and again beats its direct competitor
Cuatro has ended July with a 5.8% audience share, 0.9 points ahead of its direct competitor, and has recorded its best daytime figures for this month since 2018. ‘Horizonte’, ‘En boca de todos’, ‘Código 10’, ‘Todo es mentira’ and editions of Noticias Cuatro are among its leading results.

Cuatro ended July as the third most-watched commercial channel, with a 5.8% audience share and a 0.9-point lead over its direct competitor, which recorded 4.9%. The channel therefore matches the biggest difference between the two since July 2018.
In the commercial target, Cuatro reached 6.1%, after growing by three tenths, and also beat its rival, which achieved 5.5%. The channel has also held this position for the third consecutive month in this metric.
The Mediaset España channel performed particularly well in the daytime slot, where it recorded 6.2%, an increase of three tenths year on year. This result represents its best July since 2018 and enabled it to beat its immediate competitor for the third consecutive month; the latter achieved 5.5%.
In the commercial target, Cuatro reached 6.7% in daytime, two tenths ahead of its rival. Here too, it has maintained its lead for the third consecutive month.
Cuatro maintains its position in prime time
In prime time, Cuatro again ranked as the third most-watched commercial channel, with a 4.8% audience share. The channel beat its direct competitor by 1.3 points; the latter recorded 3.5%.
In the commercial target, Cuatro reached 5% and has now spent 36 consecutive months as the third commercial channel. The difference over its rival rose to 1.5 points, with the latter recording 3.5%. Cuatro also again beat its direct competitor on every night of the week.
Among the content contributing to these results was ‘Horizonte’. Its access prime-time broadcasts achieved a 7% share and 759,000 viewers, doubling the result of its competitor in the broadcast slot, which recorded 3.5%. In the commercial target, the programme reached 7.1%, compared with 3% for its rival.
The prime-time editions of ‘Horizonte’, presented this month by Beatriz Talegón and Paco Pérez Caballero, recorded a 9.9% share and 716,000 viewers. The programme led among commercial channels, tripling its competitor’s figure in its time slot, which stood at 3.3%, and doubling it in the commercial target, with 11.1% compared with 3.9%.
The special ‘Horizonte: crisis en la frontera’, presented by Iker Jiménez and Carmen Porter, achieved a 13.5% share and 985,000 viewers. According to the data provided, the broadcast set the programme’s all-time record for audience share on Cuatro and was the top choice in its time slot compared with the other offerings.
‘En boca de todos’ records its best July
Another of the channel’s standout programmes was ‘En boca de todos’, which recorded an 8.2% share and 254,000 viewers. The programme had its most-watched July and its highest share in its history.
‘En boca de todos’ beat its rival in its broadcast slot, with 7.2%, and also in the commercial target, where it reached 8.4% compared with 7.3% for its competitor. The Friday edition achieved a 12.7% share and 389,000 viewers, its best figure since its launch.
‘Código 10’ and ‘Todo es mentira’ also ranked ahead of their direct competitor. The former achieved 7.8% compared with 3.1% for its rival, and 7.4% in the commercial target compared with 3.2%. With 490,000 viewers, ‘Código 10’ recorded its most-watched July.
‘Todo es mentira’, meanwhile, reached a 7.2% share, compared with 5.6% for its competitor, and recorded its highest-ever share in a July.
Strong performance from Noticias Cuatro
Cuatro’s news editions also improved their results. Noticias Cuatro 1, Monday to Friday, reached an 8.5% share and 589,000 viewers, ahead of its immediate competitor, which recorded 7.1% and 565,000 viewers.
The news programme has beaten its rival in share for the third consecutive month and also did so in viewer numbers, something that had not happened since June 2012. It also recorded its best share since June 2018 and reached 10% in the commercial target.
Noticias Cuatro 2, Monday to Friday, achieved a 5.3% share and 397,000 viewers, with 5.6% in the commercial target.
At the weekend, Noticias Cuatro 1 recorded 8.8% and 584,000 viewers. The programme improved by two tenths compared with June and beat its direct competitor both in share and audience, with the latter recording 7.5% and 501,000 viewers.
The weekend news programme achieved its best share since January 2019, when it recorded 9%, and rose to 9.7% in the commercial target. This result matches the figure recorded in August 2018 and represents its best mark in this metric since July of that year.
Noticias Cuatro 2 Weekend, meanwhile, recorded 6.6% and 499,000 viewers. The programme grew by almost one point compared with June and repeated its best figure since November 2024. It also beat its direct competitor, which achieved 5.4% and 412,000 viewers. In the commercial target, the news programme reached 7.5%.
The two editions of Noticias Cuatro broadcast from Monday to Sunday at 14:00 and 20:00 averaged a 7.1% share in July, their best figure since March 2018. For the first time in their new phase, they also beat their rival, which recorded 6.9%. In the commercial target, the two editions rose to 7.8%.
Mediaset España and its thematic channels
Mediaset España ended July with a 20% share and the same percentage in the commercial target. The group ranked as the commercial-target leader among commercial channels, with the same figure as its rival.
In prime time, Mediaset España reached a 17% share and 16.1% in the commercial target. In the latter metric, it beat its direct competitor by 1.8 points and has now led for 36 consecutive months. The group also beat its rival in July for the third consecutive year.
In daytime, Mediaset España recorded a 21% share and rose to 21.9% in the commercial target.
The group’s thematic channels again topped the monthly ranking. With a 6.9% share, they beat their direct competitors’ channels, which reached 6.3%, for 147 consecutive months. In the commercial target, Mediaset España’s thematic channels achieved 7.7% and also maintained 147 uninterrupted months of leadership, compared with 6.3% for their rival.
FDF, with 2%, was the leading thematic channel in July and has now topped the thematic channels in the commercial target for 39 months, where it reached 2.7%. The channel also recorded 4% among viewers aged 13 to 24.
Boing, meanwhile, achieved a 0.8% share and ranked as the leading commercial channel among children, with a 9.4% share.
